Virginia Education Committee Approves Amendment Requiring Principals To Report Misdemeanor Acts Of Violence

Southwest Virginia School Principals on Wednesday,moved closer to tightening the grip they have have when it comes to reporting acts of violence against students in Virginia’s Public Schools. House Bill 4 would require principals to report misdemeanor offenses to law enforcement instead of the current requirement to report only felony offenses. House of Delegates Republican Scott Wyatt, says approving House Bill 4 as a parent is the right thing to do, the committee measure passed by a 16-5 margin.
