Virginia budget deal reached

Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin and state lawmakers have reached a deal to finalize the state budget. Lawmakers will return to Richmond on Monday, May 13 to vote on the compromise deal. The Governor released a statement saying he’s “grateful” for members of the General Assembly in the ongoing efforts to deliver the budget. The contentious budget deal is expected to be finished next week.
