UVA Wise to host funeral services for fallen Big Stone Gap officer

Funeral and burial ceremonies are now scheduled for fallen Big Stone Gap police officer Michael Chandler.

Attorney General-elect Jason Miyares will be one of the featured speakers at Chandler’s memorial scheduled for Wednesday at the University of Virginia’s College at Wise Convocation Center.

Chandler’s family has requested supporters may line the streets of Big Stone on Thursday near Bullitt Park. His burial at Powell Valley Memorial Park will be for family and emergency personnel only.
