USGS reports earthquake detected near Greeneville Tuesday night

The United States Geological Survey says an earthquate was detected north of Greeneville Tuesday night. According to the agency, the 2.3-magnitude earthquake occurred roughly five miles north of Greeneville in the Big Hollow area. The earthquake was detected just before 10 p.m. No damage has been reported.
