UPDATE: Arrest made in Johnson City shooting involving police officer

A Johnson City police officer is in stable condition after being shot while on patrol Wednesday night.
According to the TBI, the officer was actually out on another call on Woodland Drive when Timothy D. Blair and the policeman had what the TBI called a brief encounter on South Barton Street then Blair went back inside his home. At around 9:30, the TBI says a shot came from Blair’s residence and hit the officer.
Investigators said officers did not return fire. Blair is charged with attempted murder and is being held on a quarter-million dollar bond.
