TN Governor Bill Lee visits troops before border deployment

Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee met with members of the Tennessee National Guard ahead of their deployment to the southern U.S. Border on Saturday. This meeting is nearly a month after Lee and other Republican governors traveled to Texas to discuss border security It was on that trip when Lee committed to deploying two waves of Tennessee active-duty soldiers to the Texas border. Officials say The group of about 50 Tennessee National Guard members that Lee visited at  the Millington Tennessee Army National Guard Armory is the first of those two waves that will be deployed through the spring for “Operation Lone Star.”
