Third Escapee From Sullivan County Captured In North Carolina
Sullivan County Detention Center escapee Johnny Shane Brown’s road to freedom ended Thursday night, where authorities earlier said Brown might be hiding out. And authorities were right as United States Marshals arrested Brown, wanted on numerous charges including stalking and attempted kidnapping in an apartment in the south Sixteenth Street and Dock Street in the coastal town of Wilmington, nearly 400 miles from Blountville, where Brown slipped away through air vents with murder suspect Tobias Carr and Timothy Sarver last Friday. Both Carr and Sarver were found dead in a vehicle following a robbery and high speed chase near Wilmington earlier this week. Brown is being held in New Hanover County awaiting extradition back to Blountville.
