Tennessee Valley Authority reports $10.5 billion in total operating revenues for fiscal year
The Tennessee Valley Authority reported $10.5 billion in total operating revenues, over 157 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity sales for the fiscal year, which ended on September 30th.
TVA officials say total operating revenues increased 2.5 percent over the prior year, primarily due to a rise in fuel-cost recovery, driven by higher fuel rates and higher sales in 2021. TVA accredits this increase to strong regional pandemic recovery. According to TVA, the company provides electricity services to 10 million people.
