Tennessee Governor Calling Special Session
It’s back to Nashville for Northeast Tennessee lawmakers as well as the rest of General Assembly as Governor Bill Lee calls a special session to shore up funding, address buildout and oversight of a historic five point six billion dollar Ford Motor Company decision to locate in West Tennessee. Lee says the partnership with Ford will transform West Tennessee. The Governor says he hopes the session will ensure the project has the structure, funding and accountability needed to be successful. Lee says lawmakers will work to secure a lasting impact for Tennesseans when they gather in Nashville on October 18th.
