SWVA Set To Receive More Than 800 Thousand Dollars For Growth Projects
Several southwest Virginia localities will use more than 860 thousand dollar in grants to attract businesses, support infrastructure and workforce development projects in the region. Governor Ralph Northam’s office says 600 thousand dollars is going to Smyth and Bland Counties for further development of a business ready site. The City of Bristol, the Town of Duffield and Scott County will use more than 200 thousand dollars to create critical infrastructure in the food supply chain. And Bristol, along with Washington County Virginia will utilize almost 50 thousand dollars for a market analysis for opportunities to participate in an onshore, off shore wind supply chain project.
