Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office recruiting new officers and workers at Thursday event

Sheriff Jeff Cassidy is hosting a recruiting event Thursday at the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office, located at 140 Blountville Bypass in Blountville from 2 to 4 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public. Personnel will be on hand to share information about career opportunities within the various divisions of the agency.

The units represented include:
• Dispatch / Communications
• Records and Warrants
• Patrol
• Corrections
• Criminal Investigations
• School Resource Officers
• Corrections Medical
• K-9 Unit
• Fatal Incident Reconstruction Support Team (FIRST)
• Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT)
• Special Operations Response Team (SORT)
• Dive Team
• Fugitive Apprehension

Applications will be available at the event and someone will be on hand to answer questions regarding employee benefits.
