Sullivan County Looks At Hiring Professional Firm To Handle Legislative Issues Of Interest In Nashville
Each year in Sullivan County, local municipalities prepare a legislative agenda that’s presented to the Tennessee General Assembly for its consideration. However, Sullivan County does not participate in the preparation of the legislative agenda. With that in mind, along with Governor Bill Lee’s recent formation of a school funding review panel, which commissioners say could negatively impact county schools, Sullivan County is looking to hire a professional firm to handle any potential, Sullivan County interests in agenda items discussed by legislators. If approved, Sullivan County would contract the services of the firm at a cost of up to 36 thousand dollars per year.
