Sullivan County dispatcher presented with Lifesaving Award

A Sullivan County dispatcher was presented with a lifesaving award after she helped a 7-month-old child. In December, dispatcher Wendy Doran answered an emergency call from the father of a seven-month-old child saying that his child was having trouble breathing and showed a lack of response after he stepped away briefly while the child was in the bathtub. Doran used new technology that allowed her to see the baby’s condition and she then had the father extract water from the baby’s mouth using a bulb syringe and the baby began breathing. For her actions, Sullivan County Sheriff Jeff Cassidy presented Doran with The Lifesaving Award.
