Sullivan Commissioners Looking At Possible Legal Steps If Situation Arises With Bristol, Virginia Landfill Problems
Sullivan County Commissioners have a full slate of agenda items to address later this week, including the introduction of a resolution expressing concern about current conditions of the Bristol, Virginia Landfill. The county is likely to join, a growing list of other municipalities taking steps for possible legal against Bristol, Virginia should any arise over the current foul odors emanating from the landfill. County Commissioners will also debate again on a resolution creating a special committee to make recommendations for appropriating and allocating millions of dollars in COVID relief funds. Commissioners meet Tuesday evening in Blountville.
