Suicide in Gatlinburg marks second death this summer at tourist spots
A preliminary investigation by police says an unidentified man committed suicide at a popular Gatlinburg attraction after hours.
A police spokesperson said the man jumped the locked fence at SkyBridge late Saturday and then went to the structure where he jumped.
The SkyLift Park reopened after the police review. It marks the second suicide at a Gatlinburg tourist spot this summer, including last month, where a woman jumped from an above-ground lift at Anakeesta.
