Standardized testing waived for some Hurricane Helene counties in TN

Students in Hurricane Helene-impacted Tennessee counties won’t have to fear their end-of-year grades suffering if they perform poorly on state standardized tests. A recent waiver was granted by the Tennessee Department of Education. The reprieve was accepted by Unicoi, Johnson and Carter counties. The Schools will still be assessed on those results, and their school report card grades will be impacted.
