Southwest Virginia Commonwealth’s Attorney Named To Miyare’s Transition Team

Last week, Virginia Republican Delegate Jason Miyares defeated Virginia, Democratic Incumbent Attorney General, Mark Herring. On Monday, Wise County and the City of Norton Commonwealth’s Attorney Chuck Slemp is named to Miyare’s transition team. Slemp, is one of five Commonwealth’s Attorneys from across the state chosen to assist Miyare’s as he begins the transition leading to Miyare’s taking the reins as newly elected Attorney General. Slemp, joins Southwest Virginia native, and former Attorney General Jerry Kilgore, who is heading up the Miyare’s transition team.
