Slide Closes Portion Of State Route 91 In Tazewell County

The Virginia Department of Transportation is reporting a slide that has closed a portion of Route 91 in Tazewell County, Virginia . Route 607 is the detour route while the closure is in place. Once an assessment of the slide is done, crews will begin cleanup and repairs. A timeframe for repairs has not been established. TDOT is urging motorists to use caution in the area and be alert to signs and message boards.
