Section of Kingsport Greenbelt closed for repairs

A portion of the Kingsport Greenbelt will be closed for a couple weeks to undergo major sidewalk repairs. The Greenbelt is a public walking and biking path that runs throughout the city of Kingsport. It features scenic bridges and creek views.

City officials say the area from Clinchfield Street to Cherokee Village Drive will be closed until around July 8th while crews resurface the sidewalk. A quick detour will be in place while work is completed.
