Sean Williams considering plea deal in child pornography trial
Accused serial rapist Sean Williams now must consider a plea deal on in his child pornography production trial. Williams, a former downtown Johnson City businessman, faces three federal counts of enticing a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purposes of manufacturing child pornography. If convicted, Williams would face a minimum of 15 years and maximum of 30 years on each count. On Tuesday morning during pre-trial proceedings it was revealed that prosecutors had considered a plea deal for Williams, who claimed he never knew about it. The deal would sentence Williams to 55 years with no possibility of parole. U.S. District Court Judge Ronnie Greer gave Williams until noon on Tuesday to decide. If Williams pleads out the trial would no longer be necessary.
