Scott County Residents Without Running Water Will See That Soon Change

For nearly two years now, residents in a section of Scott County Virginia have been without running water. That’s about to change as leaders in the community are using a portion of more than three million dollars in Community Development Block Grant funds to provide running water for residents in the Blackgum community. The Blackgum Water Project has been awarded more than 300 thousand dollars to complete the water expansion that will serve 19 households, and 31 low to moderate income individuals in the Blackgum Community. Neighboring Norton Virginia also got a portion of the water improvement funds.
