Salvation Army to distribute holiday gift cards for Carter County residents

The Salvation Army announced it will again distribute holiday gift cards to members of the public, this time to Carter County residents on Sunday. The distribution is scheduled on Sunday afternoon from 2-5 p.m. at Hampton Elementary School. Only Carter County residents will be permitted to attend this round of distribution. The Salvation Army said the gift card distribution events aim to provide financial assistance to families affected by flooding from Hurricane Helene. Carter County residents are asked to bring a Form of ID, verification of county address and household members and an explanation of hurricane impact. Cards will be given away until 5 p.m. or until organizers run out.
