Possible ordered merger coming for local utility districts

The Tennessee Comptroller’s office says it wants to merge the South Fork Utility District with the Bristol-Bluff City Utility District. The possible ordered merger comes after previous reports found years of mismanaged money within the utility. The Bristol-Bluff City district is considering the viability of merging the two entities. The Tennessee Board of Utility Regulation meets on July 18 in Nashville to further discuss the merger.
