Police car collides with SUV in Greene County

The THP says a police cruiser collided with a vehicle on Asheville Highway in Greene County on Monday. The crash report says a Dodge Charger was traveling south along the Asheville Highway with emergency equipment activated at around 5:27 p.m. The police car attempted to overtake a GMC Yukon when the Yukon made a left turn. The cruiser hit the SUV and both vehicles left the road with the driver of the GMC Yukon receiving injuries. The officer and K-9 were not injured. The THP says there will be no charges filed.
