Pilot Program To Assist Number Of COVID Tests Will Boost Attendance of Southwest Virginia Schools
Southwest Virginia’s efforts to get as many children tested for COVID-19 and keep attendance up could be boosted when the Virginia Department of Health launches a new, statewide pilot program called Test To Stay. Dr. Laurie Forlano with the Virginia Department of Health says Test To Stay allows students who have contact with other students who have tested positive for COVID 19 can continue in person classes if they continue to test negative. Forlano, says the pilot program will launch in the next seven to ten days and should help limit disruptions for school kids who aren’t fully vaccinated.
