Out-of-state travelers at center of stabbing incident at Scott County convenience store

A citizen bystander assisted a sheriff’s deputy in subduing a stabbing suspect at a Scott County, Virginia convenience store.

Robert Grant Jessup was charged with malicious wounding, armed robbery, and petit larceny in connection to the altercation in Duffield at the Daniel Boone Travel Center.

Sheriff Jeff Edds’ report said Jessup and a man he was traveling with began fighting with Jessup driving away in the man’s car. Jessup later returned to the store and was later taken into custody.
