One injured, one in custody following apartment complex shooting near Morristown West

A 17-year-old was injured and another arrested following a shooting in Hamblen County.

A report from the Morristown Police Department said the incident took place at an apartment complex in the vicinity of Morristown Hamblen West High School on Sulphur Springs Road near the end of the school day.

Officers established a perimeter around the complex and school while West officials and administrators at Lincoln Heights Middle and Elementary issued a lockdown for safety. Police said the two teens involved were not students.
