One dead, another injuring in accidental shooting

The negligent discharge of a firearm has apparently left one person dead and another injured. The incident took place Saturday night at around 11:00 in a campground on Volunteer Parkway. Officers found two male victims with gunshot wounds. One of the men was taken to Bristol Regional Medical Center for treatment of a gunshot to the hand, the other was transported to the Johnson City Medical Center where he later died from his injuries. Investigators believe this was a negligent discharge of a firearm and an isolated incident. The investigation is continuing.
