Officer Involved Shooting Under Investigation In Kingsport, Involving TBI Agents

There’s been another officer involved shooting. This one overnight in Kingsport at a 24 hour eating establishment, involving TBI agents, and a suspect remains at large wanted on federal charges. According to a TBI release, TBI agents were working with the FBI to apprehend Cody Christian. Christian was spotted at the Cook Out Restaurant on East Stone Drive around 830 Tuesday evening. At that point, a TBI agent fired shots, for reasons still under investigation. It’s not clear if Christian was struck by the gunfire as he fled the seen and remains on the loose. No injuries were reported and the case is being investigated by the TBI at the request of the 2nd District Attorney General’s Office.
