No ETSU Students Involved In Recent Shooting Near Campus

Johnson City investigators continue to probe a New Years Day shooting near ETSU’s campus that kills one adult male and say it appears no ETSU students were involved in the incident at Monarch Apartments. Police arrived at 1119 University Parkway to apartment 4205 in reference to shots fired. Police found evidence that numerous shots had been fired in an apartment and hallway where a party was being held and resulted in gunfire striking the male victim who later died at a local hospital. The name of the victim has not yet been released. .
