NEW: Hard Rock Bristol to open temporary casino in 2022

Hard Rock International announced Thursday the opening of a temporary casino center “in the new year” on the same property where the luxury resort and future gaming area will be located on Gate City Highway in Bristol, Virginia.

Construction will begin in the former Belk ladies department of the former Bristol Mall and is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2022.

The report said the opening will create 600 new jobs and the development of the temporary gaming center “strengthens Hard Rock’s presence and commitment to Bristol, marking the brand’s first major milestone in the city.”

The full-service casino will be 30,000 square feet with 900 gaming slots and 20 tables of gaming options.

– Restaurant
– Grab and go food outlet
– Non-smoking and high limit gaming areas
– Sports bar and lounge with adjacent smoking area
– Services will include a sportsbook
– Virginia Lottery offices
– Retail store for consumers
