New 2.1 Million Greene County grant hopes to attract business
Greene County recently received $2.1 million in grant funding from the State of Tennessee and the county has plans to use the money to start grading a piece of property they purchased on Snapps Ferry Road. County officials say the property is zoned for manufacturing use and that it could be used for manufacturing, distribution or a combination of the two in conjunction with warehousing. They also point out that the property is conveniently located against 2 to 4-lane highways. Once completed, any potential business would bring a number of new jobs to Greene County.
