Missing Johnson City YouTube creator found dead

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has confirmed missing Johnson City man and popular YouTube creator Mark “Shoestring” Nichols was found dead. According to the TBI, Nichols was found dead in Johnson City on Friday. A Silver Alert for Nichols was issued on Sunday, March 31. He had last been seen on March 27. Crews had been searching Boone Lake when fishermen discovered an adult male’s body, later confirmed by Johnson City police to be Nichols. Nichols was active on YouTube with over 100k followers. Authorities say the investigation into Nichols death will continue.
