Meth operation ring leader sent to prison for 35 years
The leader of an Atlanta-to-Southwest Virginia meth ring was sentenced to 35 years in prison in US District Court in Abingdon.
Daniel Eugene Rowland, 46, Andrews, North Carolina, spent 17 months organizing the transporting and delivery of the drug that was sold at more than $12,000 per kilogram.
Five of Rowland’s meth workers were previously convicted and sentenced on federal charges.
