Megan Boswell appears in court, jury selection beings in December
Megan Boswell, the Sullivan County woman accused of killing her 15-month-old daughter Evelyn, appeared in court Friday for a status hearing. At her last court appearance in August, a change in venire request was denied by the judge. Judge James Goodwin ultimately decided that an attempt to find an impartial jury in Sullivan County must be made first. Boswell has been in custody since she was first arrested in February 2020. Evelyn Boswell was found on a family member’s property in March 2020 after widespread search efforts. Since her initial arrest, prosecutors have indicted Boswell on numerous charges, including two felony murder charges and a recently added first-degree murder charge. Jury selection for the trial is scheduled to state on December 16.
