Meadowview pre-K student caught with BB gun in class

Washington County Virginia Superintendent Keith Perrigan said there was no ill intent behind a pre-K student bringing a BB gun to class on Monday at Meadowview Elementary.

The school exec said the student had the weapon in his backpack to show a friend at school who then reported it to his teacher.

Perrigan said this is a lesson parents can use to help their children learn the importance of gun and school safety including safe storage at home locked away.
