Man shot on Nashville’s I-65 by nine police officers originally from Greene County
A man fatally wounded by several police officers on Thursday on Interstate 65 near Nashville was originally from Greene County, Tennessee, according to several media sources.
A half-hour standoff ended when police said 37-year-old Landon Eastep pulled an object later described as a box cutter out of his coat pocket when nine officers from three agencies including Metro Nashville.
Eastep had reportedly moved to the Nashville area in 2018. The TBI is investigating the incident.
