Man pleads guilty to drug charges, sentenced to nearly 8 years
A Big Stone Gap man will serve nearly nine years in prison after he was found with more than 50 grams of meth. 35 year old Joshua Vanover pled guilty to possession with the intent to distribute meth. Vanover will serve a total of 107 months in federal prison. On February 26, 2023, Big Stone Gap Police attempted to stop Vanover and he led police on a high-speed chase. Once stopped, Vanover was searched and a large bag of meth was found in his boxers, and two more inside the car.
