Man convicted of child sex crimes in Russell County

The Russell County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s office reports that a Castlewood man was found guilty by a jury of child sex crimes on Thursday. 37 year old Mickey Douglas Meade Jr. was found guilty of three counts of sodomy, five counts of aggravated sexual battery, and two counts of indecent liberties of a child. The prosecution had accused Meade of sexually abusing a child multiple times over a four-year period. Meade is scheduled to be sentenced on May 29.
