Man charged in Kingsport home invasion case captured without incident

The man Kingsport police named as a home invasion suspect earlier this year is now in custody.

Daniel C. Brooks, 36, was arrested at Model City Apartments without incident and is scheduled to be arraigned in Sessions Court.

Brooks had eluded capture after a Sullivan County judge had issued bench warrants for his arrest. He was also named a suspect and charged with aggravated burglary following a May 20th incident where police said he forced his way into a home on Dorothy Street and threatened the people inside with a knife and gun.
