Man arrested in Johnson City for Kingsport shooting

A man is charged with attempted first-degree murder after a shooting in Kingsport Tuesday. 41 year old, Samuel Murphy, has been arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault, and felony reckless endangerment. Kingsport Police responded to Cherry Street after reported gunfire, finding a man with a gunshot wound to his left ear. An arrest warrant was issued for Murphy and he was later arrested at a hotel in Johnson City.
