Man arrested for DUI incident, previously convicted of vehicular homicide
A man previously convicted of vehicular homicide was arrested for DUI and other charges Saturday after allegedly hitting another vehicle and leaving the scene, the Bluff City Police Department reports. 38 year old Samuel Huffine was arrested just after 2:13 a.m. Saturday in the Bluff City area. A BOLO was issued for The Jeep Huffine was driving after it struck another vehicle on Highway 11E in Piney Flats then left the scene. Bluff City police stopped the vehicle on Highway 11E near the Tri-Cities Flea Market and Huffine was identified as the driver. A search of the vehicle revealed multiple drugs and drug paraphernalia. During the investigation, Bluff City police learned Huffine was convicted of vehicular homicide in 2014 in Sullivan County. Huffine was charged with driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident and other drug related charges.
