Lebanon VA Town Council member and sister enter non-prosecution agreement
A Lebanon Town Council member and his sister have entered into a non-prosecution agreement with the U.S. attorney’s office. The U.S. attorney’s office for the Western District of Virginia said town council member Michael Elijah Leonard and his sister Amber Musick entered into the agreement Tuesday. The U.S. attorney’s office says the siblings have interests in several automotive groups and previously made money by winning bids to do work for the town. Leonard is the owner of Leonard Automotive. Musick is accused of submitting bids for work with the town under the name Appalachian Collison & Auto Parts Inc., which was solely owned by Musick and had no assets, with Leonard Automotive provided the services for any contracts secured by Appalachian Collision. Leonard and Musick have agreed that Appalachian Collision would return the money it received from the town for work it billed for that was done by Leonard Automotive and also agreed to dissolve Appalachian Collision.
