Lawn mower vs vehicle leaves one dead, another in critical condition

The Pulaski, Virginia Police Department says one man has died and a woman is in critical condition after a lawn mower they were riding crashed into a vehicle. A preliminary report says officers responded to Lee Highway in the area of Northwood Drive Tuesday night, where they found a man and woman with serious injuries.

An initial investigation revealed the pair was traveling down Northwood Drive on a riding lawnmower when they failed to stop at the stop sign, colliding with the side of a vehicle. Both of them were taken to a nearby hospital where the man later succumbed to his injuries, and the woman is still in critical condition. No names have yet been released.
