Kingsport Man Arrested After Insulting Homeless Man, Then Beats Victim, Injures Bystander
A Kingsport man is arrested after first insulting a man for being homeless, then beating the victim. 53 year old Mark Forbes, was arrested in the middle of Eastman Road after a fight broke out in the parking lot of a Fort Henry Drive convenience store Christmas morning. The store clerk told police Forbes verbally insulted 39 year old Christopher Dobson by calling him homeless and a bum. A fight then broke out, and Forbes came at Dobson with a steel ratchet. A bystander, attempting to intervene, had his shoulder separated when he was thrown to the ground by Forbes. Dobson was later charged with a misdemeanor citation for drug paraphernalia. Forbes is charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault.
