Jonesborough to invest in new water treatment facility
The Town of Jonesborough is making a $30 million investment in a new water treatment plant. Town Mayor Chuck Vest said the current plant was built in the 1970s and town leaders had started the planning phase for a new facility years ago. The new plant will be able to process three times as much water as the plant currently in operation. The town hopes to have the new plant operational in the next two years.
