Johnson County wildfire brought under control Tuesday

Crews worked to contain a wildfire in Johnson County Tuesday. The Tennessee National Guard said it sent two UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters from Knoxville to support the response in Mountain City. Johnson County EMA Director Jason Blevins said the fire spanned around 30 acres near the Antioch Road area. The blaze was 50% contained at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The fire began Monday night as a brush fire that quickly got out of control. No evacuations in the area were reported. Antioch Road opened back up around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
