Johnson City juvenile arrested for threat made on social media

A Johnson City school student is scheduled to appear in Juvenile Court next month after his arrest for making a threat.

A police report said the boy was taken into custody Thursday afternoon following an interview with several students and investigators documenting the circumstances of the threat made on Wednesday on social media.

The message was reported to a school resource officer. The juvenile was charged with false reporting.
