JC property owners now have longer to pay taxes

Johnson City property owners will have longer until they have to pay property taxes. A release for the city say 2024 property taxes are due in Johnson City on February 28, 2025. Johnson City property taxes have traditionally been due at the end of each year but city commissioners voted to move the deadline to February 28 to be in line with neighboring municipalities. Mailed-in tax payments that are postmarked February 28 or earlier will be honored and in person payments are also accepted at the Johnson City Municipal and Safety Building.
