JC mattress store donates mattresses to UNC nonprofit

A Johnson City mattress store has donated hundreds of mattresses to a Western North Carolina nonprofit that was damaged by Hurricane Helene. Johnson City Bedding donated 250 new mattresses to Asheville/Buncombe Community Christian Ministry, which is a shelter that houses homeless veterans and was destroyed in Helene’s floodwaters. The nonprofit has a variety of ministries in addition to its homeless veteran care. The organization is comprised of member churches and also provides medical care for uninsured adults, offers homeless women and children a place to stay and operates a jail ministry and recovery center.
